Back to concert list I played a concert at Filmfest Munich in München (Germany) on the 27th of June 2026 — if you were there it would mean a lot to me if you would share your impressions and thoughts and maybe even some pictures with me!
The last Filmfest Munich felt like three different parts of my life quietly finding each other — after years of work — and then unfolding all at once, like falling dominoes.
Something new opened.
I had the chance to compose the score for a deeply moving film by Helena Hufnagel and Fabi Halbig. It carries a story that feels more than important and is so so close to the heart. I still can’t quite believe that it will be in cinemas on November 19. Being at the world premiere of Agnes & Amir and feeling the emotional weight of it… and knowing I could give it a musical soul… means more to me than I can put into words.
At the same time, I was allowed to open the 43rd Munich Film Festival at the stunning Isarphilharmonie. In a quiet way, everything came together — and settled into place.

Lieber Martin, es ist wirklich unglaublich, was du der „Branche“ mitgegeben hast in dieser „Kluft“ aus Film und Leben, Dasein und Träumen - wow da gehen Welten auf - bin sehr froh das gesehen zu haben! Du hast so Großes geschaffen mit deiner Musik in Kombination mit dir als Mensch, und der ganzen Klaviatur an Emotionen dahinter und du strahlst alles über - weiß nicht wie oft wir das in Geprächen erzählt haben, eben auch denjenigen die nicht dabei waren. Danke dafür, danke, dass du deinen Spirit mit uns geteilt hast. Liebe Grüße von nordpolar(is), über Monaco nach Berlin. Hoffe du spielst bald mal wieder in Berlin!
