Back to concert list
I played a concert at Opera North in Leeds (United Kingdom) on the 10th of March 2025 — if you were there it would mean a lot to me if you would share your impressions and thoughts and maybe even some pictures with me!

Your thoughts, memories and pictures
I have honestly never seen anyone enjoy making music as much as you. It was a magical experience.
Such an honour to finally see you in my home city. The show was as wonderful as ever. Our front row seats gave us a close look at you operating all those synths and buttons!

Fantastic concert!

A superb experience
The most real and personal performance. An absolute joy. Thank you very much.
A fantastic experience. Thank you for sharing your music with us.

Martin Kohlstedt Tonight, I witnessed the past spill from his fingers, each note of the piano a memory resurrected, a chord played from something ancient and unfinished. But before the melody could settle, before nostalgia could lull the present into stillness, the future intervened- fracturing, distorting. A synthetic wave surged through, an electric hum bending time itself, twisting the familiar into something unrecognizable. The past and the future did not coexist; they collided, and in their collision, the present was torn open. The veil was lifted. His body moved as if possessed, not by something external, but by the very sounds he conjured. His hands trembled across the keys, not playing them but becoming them, as though they were his vertebrae and his compositions were the force binding them to life. His jaw unhinged with the rhythm of his creation- not air, but music was what he breathed, swallowed, lived. It was vibration that sustained him. He was no longer a man at an instrument; he was the instrument, vibrating with a resonance that was beautifully unbearable, as if his very being could not contain it. & then- he lifted. Not his body, not in the way flesh understands movement, but his soul. It unmoored from the weight of existence, levitating between keystrokes, carried by the swell of sound. The moment: unbound. Time: undone. The past, the future- both echoing in one plane, reverberations of something greater, something that lingers even after the final note fades.
I took on a punt on a concert from an artist that I didn't really know but left a fan. What a remarkable concert. Very inspiring. A lovely start to my week. Bought a record and look forward to checking out the rest of the catalogue. Please come again
Martin's talent and passion is truly magical. What an absolute privilege this was to get to see, hear and feel his music live.
Such a wonderful show! Thank you so much for bringing your inspiring music to Leeds. Dark and light, the bombastic synth sounds and the delicate and smallest quiet piano lilts - it was a brilliant night and I wish you well as you take your talent on tour. I'm a new fan.
