I played a concert at Videodroom in Ghent (Belgium) on the 21st of October 2022 — if you were there it would mean a lot to me if you would share your impressions and thoughts and maybe even some pictures with me!

Today, I'm at the international film festival in Ghent. Besides another film premiere of Balaur, a thriller by Octav Chelaru for which I composed the soundtrack, I am there on a special mission. For the first time, I am giving a concert as live soundtrack to a terrific, really trippy Hungarian animated film from 1981 called "Son of the white Mare". This film went down in history as the best psychedelic animated film ever made and the first time I saw it I knew directly why. The film is a visual drug and it grabbed me right away. Now you can imagine how much I'm looking forward to giving the film a new score.Martin Kohlstedt

Unique

This was an unique mind blowing experience. Very impressed how you managed to sync audio and video and create the perfect soundtrack for this animation. Thanks

Phenomenal

When I decided to go watch this film I didn't even realize there would be a live improvised soundtrack, and what an incredible surprise that was. I believe I had the best possible viewing experience for this film, your music was wonderful and added so much to the film while always managing to fit the crazy on-screen visuals perfectly. I only wish there was a way to hear it all again, but I supposed the fleeting nature of this performance is one of the big reasons why it was so memorable. Excellent job, would love to see/hear something similar again.
